A great idea in its time, and very educational.

I have had a copy of this book since about 1980, and attempted a build using its information. It is detail - dimensioned in decimal inches, though the publisher offered an exchange for a set with metric dimensions. The consensus among users of the book is that there are a few small dimensional errors, and some Google on the Muzzleoading Forum will find them. A most impressive modern wheel-lock maker from Poland however points out that all the dimensioning is pretty much wasted; there are a small number that are critical to operation and the rest can be made up as you go along.

Despite the beautiful 1590s Puffer on the cover, the plans are for a plain munition-quality arm of around 1640.

Jenny's first day at the Albrecht Stables continues being both sexually demanding and degrading for her. Yet some sparks start to jump back and forward between her and Mark.
Jenny is used but not by whom she hoped. This adds a whole new and interesting layer to the suspense already created.
This well written story is fascinating and aroussing and so well described the reader can sit back and close the eyes and be there. I'm looking forward to part four.

About the Author
Former Lecturer at Buckingham Chilterns University College, High Wycombe, UK, and now retired, William Bolton has worked in industry and academia as a senior lecturer in a college of technology, a member of the Nuffield Advanced Physics team, an adviser to a British government aid project in Brazil on technical education, as a UNESCO consultant in Argentina and Thailand, and as Head of Research and Development at the Business and Technician Education Council. He has written many engineering textbooks, including Mechatronics, 4th ed., Engineering Science, 5th ed., Higher Engineering Science, 2nd ed., Mechanical Science, 3rd ed., and Instrumentation and Control Systems.
