amazing highs and devastating lows.........What a career.

The years at Manu Newcastle Blackburn were well thought out.......great stories on and off the field.

The gambling was a complete turnoff and bloody frightening .The drinking while on international duty was scary.Who was in charge?

Clubs and country today are more politically correct and more professional in accepted standards ......we all hope.

Some great stories of players and managers who he has played with.Great entertainment .
Especially the graham souness stories.

We'll worth the read.You got the feeling a lot more could be said......maybe he is saving those stories for An evening with ..........a good way for him to get financially back on his feet.

A sad sad story of someone who should be set up for life.Set up for himself and his family.
Still you cannot get away from the evils of booze and gambling.........and how they can ruin anyone's life very easy.

So different from the traditional rags to riches accounts, I sought no pleasure in reading of his financial demise, as a book it leaves you feeling sorry for him but at the same time applauding him for reaching the pinnacle of his sport and producing a stunning account that provides outsiders with a rare and candid glimpse into the world of a professional footballer. After devouring his story I was surprised to read how frequently bankruptcy snares former pro footballers. I admire the author for his openness and sincerely thank him for the life's lessons it has reminded me to pay more careful attention to.

Great book - would definitely recommend

I am avid reader of sports autobiographies and would definitely put this up there with the best. Whereas the others might have 2 or 3 memorable parts or things you weren't aware of, Gillespie's is full of amazing incidents and is a real page turner. The guy has just been through so much in his career and outside of football. Seems like a genuine and honest guy as well.

This manual also applies to the reconnaissance platoons of the combined arms battalion (CAB), Stryker Infantry battalion, and the Infantry battalion of the IBCT, and provides techniques for the employment of the reconnaissance platoons throughout the range of military operations.

This ATP provides doctrinal guidance for commanders, staff, and leaders who are responsible for planning, preparing, executing, and assessing operations of the reconnaissance platoons. It also serves as an authoritative reference for personnel developing materiel and force structure, institutional and unit training, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reconnaissance platoon organizations. These doctrinal techniques are to be used as a guide and are not to be considered prescriptive. This manual outlines the framework in which the five types of reconnaissance platoons operate: by themselves, or as part of the troop or combined arms organization. It also includes discussions of doctrine that apply to each specific type of platoon.

This ATP is directed toward the reconnaissance platoon leader, platoon sergeant, section sergeant, team leaders, subordinate leaders, and all supporting units.

This ATP applies to the Active Army, the United States Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), and the United States Army Reserve (USAR) unless otherwise stated.

The proponent for this publication is the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). The preparing agency is the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE).

In Review: Will the Real Prince Charming Please Stand Up? (Westgate Prep #1) by Ella Martin

Will the Real Prince Charming Please Stand Up? was a cute and fun young adult read. I breezed through it in a couple short hours and enjoyed it. I can't say it's a story or characters that will stick with me for a long time, but I did enjoy it while I was in the moment.

The main character, Bianca was likable and real. She was a little on the naive side, but she was young so that's not entirely unexpected. After becoming the It Girl of her sophomore class, she's suddenly dealing with pressure and some unexpected attention from one of the most popular guys in school. Dante wasn't the nice guy he seemed to be at first, however. He was controlling and somewhat abusive. He's not a very nice guy and Bianca has a hard time dealing with him, but then doesn't tell her brother or friends what's going on either, even once they've voiced their distrust of him. I think the author did a good job handling the Dante storyline in a way younger adults can relate to and learn from.

One of my favorite things about this book was the Bianca's group of friends. I loved the dynamic between them and the characters were all standout in their own ways. I particularly liked Bianca's brother Brady and his best friend, Tim. They were popular athletes, but they didn't play into the stereotypes and I appreciated that.

Overall this was a fun, light read. I would consider it on the younger side of YA, which may be why I didn't necessarily connect fully with it. But, the characters were real and believable, the story hit on a hard subject without being too overly-dramatic or angsty and there was a good message in the end. I would definitely recommend this one to an upper middle grade, younger YA audience.

A light, fun read

This was a really quick, fun read. Once the story takes off, it pulled me in and I couldn't put it down.

I loved the basic premise of Bianca's friends rigging the Homecoming election to see if they can. Her friends are one of the best things about the book. It took me right back to my own group of friends in high school. I love how easy it was to relate to Bianca when things start to go bad with Dante. Her reactions are very real.

My only issue with the book was that she never really seemed to like the guy in the first place. Bianca never struck me as the kind of girl who wanted a boyfriend just for a boyfriend's sake. Even allowing for the fact that she's 15, and it's exciting when a boy likes you (which I totally get), her behavior/emotions didn't ring true. If that was why she went out with him, then she seemed too detached. But, the story trots along so quickly, it's easy to put that issue aside, accept that teenage girls do things for strange reasons, and fall right back into the story.

The Dark Side of the Fairy Tale

Aptly titled, this novel shows what lurks beneath the surface of the teenage fairy tale.

A social experiment propels sophomore Bianca into the limelight at her prep school. As a member of the homecoming court, she attracts attention from Dante, a previously unattainable guy. The inexperienced Bianca soon finds herself sucked into a dark relationship that isolates her from friends and threatens her safety.

Not only is this book a fun read, it addresses critical social issues without a heavy-handed tone. The characters were developed, the relationships and high school roller coaster were believable, and the pacing was impeccable. In short, it was well-written. I can't wait to read the next book in the Westgate Prep Series!

Count on an ending that will leave you smiling. I may have clapped a little.

The Lace series follows Carter Morgan, a beyond gorgeous and sexy, ultra rich and successful, controlling and dominant, entitled, ruthless and untouchable playboy in his courtship with Evangeline. Be prepared to get swept off your feet by their story! It consists of 4 parts/novellas that combined make up a 300 page read.

Precious Lace - Book 4 (might contain spoilers)

Hero: Carter Jonathan Morgan/28 years old/billionaire/CEO-mogul-playboy/brown hair/steel blue eyes
Heroine: Evangeline Austin, "Eva"/26 years old/recent UMASS graduate-fashion website editor/dark brown hair/green eyes

In the previous books we have followed Carter and Eva through their initial meeting and whirlwind courtship and on that special trip to Aspen. They fell for each hard and fast. And it has since been a tumultuous ride and though some intrigue has come from outside sources their biggest obstacles have always come from within.

Carter is simply an unforgettable hero. I have loved every moment of him! In this book he acted a little immature a couple of times, but he redeemed himself quickly. Eva, like I mentioned before, was strong at times and other times annoying which is often the case when paired with a larger-than-life hero.

Spellbinding storytelling, scorching sex scenes and of course, Carter Morgan! For me the perfect ending to the perfect read! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and I have to say I am surprised that not more readers have caught on.

Adriane Leigh is an amazing story teller and an author to follow!

Excellent read...

Loved Carter and Evangeline story - two stubborn souls meant to be together. Reading their story I cried and smiled as they worked on their trust issues. And it filled me with hope seeing that Eva got a chance to beat the odds she was given when she was young. Loved her supporting friend and was thrilled when neither Nikki or Madeleine meddling ways got in the way of Carter's and Eva's happiness...... nice read!

Perfect ending

Precious Lace was the final installment of Carter's and Eva's story, and may I say the perfect ending :)
After reading the third book I was extremely confused by the way Carter responded to the fight, they had in the end of the book. Leaving her, in her apartment without a word left me mad and cursing at him.
In Precious Lace we are confronted with the reason behind that response, and I completely understood his point. Only Carter to have his mind work in that direction, I guess that's the reason behind the alpha male that he clearly his.
In this book we see Eva confront her one fears, and come to realize a few things, and Carter reveal more about himself and speak of his fears to Eva.
I loved the fact that both of them were able to talk and work things out, without letting the lust get in the way (grin). The sex was amazing has always, Carter knows you to work a girl out.
Some of the issues referred to, in the other books come back in this one, Nikkie and Madeleine make there appearances, and I was proud to see at least in one momentum Eva rise above and teach them a lesson.
Something happens that throws Carter in to another one of its states, I'm not going to spoil, because that would take the fun out of the reading :P I will just say is something unexpected, I guess for me it wasn't because I suspected all along, but the way that the author introduced the question, and played the characters along that was extremely fun to read. Ok that will sound awkward after someone reads the book, but what can I say, I'm a sucker for drama :P
And talking about drama, did you have to make the guy have a second heart attack Adriane? Lol the second scare was hilarious to read, it was so fun to see his reaction. Imagining an alpha male behave that way, was priceless.
And the Epilogue AAWWW :D LOVED IT
Precious was in fact the perfect ending to the roller coaster, that was Carter Morgan and Eva Morgan :D
