His other Springer publications include the books Signal Conditioning: An Introduction to Continuous Wave Communication and Signal Processing and Digital Communication: Principles and System Modelling.

Very nice book I have found so far. Clear explanation of concepts, easy to pick up even if you are a new to image processing. I strongly recommend this book for academics and image processing professionals.

SPRINGER WILL NOT LET YOU OBTAIN CODES

This has been a disaster. While the book claims to have codes available for download, they are only available to instructors and/or students of a registered instructor for the course. Well, I'm not a student anymore. I have been back and forth with Springer on this for sometime now and they still do not seem to understand this.
Do not buy unless they sort this out. A lot of money for a text that doesn't provide the codes they advertise especially in this digital day and age when virtually every other publisher does.
